Our story
Answering a gift with gifts
LIGF was founded on a simple conviction: every human life is breathed into being by God, and is therefore a gift. Our founders want to answer that gift with gifts of their own, given freely and with love, to people in need.
We are starting in Delta State and plan to grow, step by step and accountably, into a nationwide charitable institution that combines community programmes, volunteering, transparent fundraising and, in time, charity shops.
The meaning of our name

Our logo, with open hands offering a gift, expresses our belief that life itself is God’s gift, and that we are called to give generously in return.

Our CAC registration is pending. We never claim registration, tax-exempt status or partnerships we have not formally obtained.
No donations before readiness
Online giving stays switched off until registration, banking and payment arrangements are complete.
Two people, every time
Published figures, stories and projects must be approved by someone other than the person who prepared them.
A permanent audit trail
Every change staff make in our systems is recorded in a log that nobody can edit or delete.
Help without conditions
Assistance never depends on religious affiliation, conversion or attending worship.

Our trustees and management team will be introduced here once appointments are confirmed and each person has approved their profile for publication.
Annual reports and accounts
Annual reports, programme expenditure summaries and outcome statements will be published here after our first full financial year.
