Questions about getting involved
Do I need to be a Christian to volunteer?
No. Community volunteers serve in our humanitarian programmes whatever their faith. Ministry workers, who serve in outreach and prayer, are Christians who share our faith commitment.
How much time do I need to give?
As much as you can offer. Some volunteers help at a single outreach; others give a few hours each month. Tell us your availability when you register.
Will I be trained?
Yes. Everyone completes an introduction to our values, safeguarding and confidentiality before serving, plus role-specific guidance.
Can my church, school or business partner with LIGF?
We would love to hear from you. Send a partnership enquiry and we will arrange a conversation. We only list partners publicly once an agreement is formally in place.
Can I donate now?
Not yet. Online giving opens only after our CAC registration, banking and payment arrangements are complete. Please do not send money to anyone claiming to collect for LIGF before then.
